Overview

Piston type relief valve, adjustable to maintain control of line pressure. Teejet / Spraying Systems 6815 Pressure Regulator with HSS components.

Product Description

The 6815 regulator by Spraying Systems is very common on both agricultural and landscaping spraying equipment. Easy to rebuild, durable and very reliable.

Rittenhouse only sells the regulator with the HSS (hardened stainless steel) seats. Do not be fooled into buying the cheaper brass version, which will have a much shorter lifespan.

All of our 6815 regulators have hardened stainless steel seats for a longer life and more accurate pressure control.

The port on the side of the 6815 is the return port back to the tank. Do not restrict the flow of the return line, it may cause damage to your pump.

Features

  • Free-floating seat design improves overall speed and sensitivity of regulator.
  • Solid brass body with hardened stainless steel seats for long life.
  • Extra large valve passage provides full flow through the valve with minimum pressure loss.
  • Available in 1/2" (13 mm) and 3/4" (19 mm) pipe sizes male NPT inlet and female NPT outlet.
  • Specify 0-300 (20.7 bar) or 0-700 psi (48.3 bar) model when ordering.

Flow Rate (gpm) 18 23 26 29 32 34 36 40 44 47 50 56

Metric Flow Rates

Maximum flow rates through the TeeJet 6815 valve at various pressures (valve unrestricted). Metric.
Pressure (bar) 0.7 1.0 1.4 1.7 2.1 2.4 2.8 3.4 4.1 4.8 5.5 6.9

As with all pressure regulators or pressure relief valves, these have wearing parts. The friction of the water or spray passing through the regulator will wear some parts – It is recommended that when you buy a new regulator, you also purchase the repair kit.

Please refer to the chart located in the Resources section regarding these 6815 Pressure Regulators.

Repair Kits

Both of the 6815 repair kits (6815KIT1/2, 6815KIT3/4) include the following:

  • Spring retainer.
  • Gasket.
  • Inner & outer springs.
  • Guide seat.
  • Inlet adaptor.
  • Hardened stainless steel seats.

Please specify 1/2" or 3/4" when ordering.

Many times when our customers report low pressure problems with a pump, the actual problem is with the relief valve and not with the pump. To find out which component is failing, turn on your spraying system, check inside the tank to see if you are getting lots of return back to the tank. If you are, then it is your relief valve which is weak. When a pressure relief valve is failing it allows all the pressure to return to the tank. You will also notice that the handle is screwed all the way down to the bottom.
