Overview

A high temperature heat gun used for shrinking VinylGuard and conforming it to the shape of the material needing protection. Take caution when operating this heat gun.

Product Description

The High Temperature Heat Gun is an economical, multi-purpose gun that is specially designed to accommodate the ideal requirements for shrinking VinylGuard.

With a temperature range of 121° C to 593° C, this heat gun with a heavy-duty air blower produces enough heat required to shrink VinylGuard when it is placed around ball washer posts, flagsticks, stakes, and more.

Shrinking Basics: Use the High Temperature Heat Gun for shrinking VinylGuard. Note: Do not apply excessive heat directly to the crease.

  1. Slide a length of VinylGuard over the shaft.
  2. Hold the heat gun a few inches away from the material to prevent burning.
  3. Slowly begin shrinking: Rotate the shaft while moving the heat gun back and forth. Apply enough heat to remove wrinkles. The vinyl will quickly shrink and conform to the shape of the underlying material.
  4. After shrinking, allow the VinylGuard to fully cool. Trim the leftover vinyl with a sharp blade or utility knife. Apply a little heat to remove any wrinkles.

NOTE: Open flame sources of heat are NOT recommended for shrinking, since they may burn or damage the vinyl and may not ensure uniform shrinking.
