Designed for the agriculture and landscaping industries, this Shurflo 8007-543-836 Demand Diaphragm Pump achieves a maximum flow rate of 1.8 gpm (6.8 lpm), making it perfect to use on sprayers on the farm or around the yard for agricultural spraying, heavy-duty spraying, and fluid transfer applications.
This 12-volt electric demand pump from Shurflo features Viton valves and a Santoprene diaphragm for chemical resistance. This allows you to pump a wide range of general agricultural chemicals, such as liquid fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, insecticides, and other hard-to-handle fluids.
The electrical packaging includes a built-in rocker-type manual switch with international on/off switch symbols that is protected from the elements by a clear boot and 2 pin connector on power leads. The wiring is neatly routed into the molded assembly through form fitting entries and strain relieved inside the housing to protect the wiring and provide a neat appearance.
Demand Pumps are designed with a pressure sensing switch that eliminates the need for a pressure regulator and are used in applications that require a set flow and pressure (eg. spray wands on spot sprayers). If a faucet or valve is opened down stream of the pump, line pressure will drop, making the pump start automatically. If the valve shuts, line pressure increases, making the pump shut off automatically. The switch reacts to outlet pressure and interrupts power at a preset shutoff pressure. If outlet pressure drops below a predetermined level, the switch closes and the pump only operates until shutoff pressure is achieved once again.
