These Firefighting Kits include everything you would need in order to use it fighting a small fire or for irrigation. Grass fires can happen and can spread quickly, having a firefighting kit on hand can greatly reduce the chance of the fire spreading. Using the foot valve or self leveling strainer with foot valve allows you to drop your suction hose into the pond, cistern, well, portable bladder or other water source to draw from.

Foot valves are a form of check valve that you install at the bottom of your suction line and put into your water source.

Self leveling floating strainers with poppet style foot valves are constructed of aluminum and makes drafting possible under almost any condition. A high intake ratio allows maximum flow rates while the vortex shield protects against whirlpooling.
