When used as directed, this one step broad-spectrum disinfectant effectively kills bacteria, viruses (including coronavirus / COVID-19, HIV, and more), and fungi, while being able to control the growth of mold, mildew, and their odors. It can be used in homes, hospitals, health care facilities, industrial settings, institutions, and premises where food is manufactured, processed, or kept.

This ready-to-use, EPA registered formulation is considered a cleaner, disinfectant, fungicide, mildewstat, germicide, virucide, and deodorizer all-in-one. It is designed for use in water damage restoration and for clean-up of mold and microbe impacted porous and non-porous materials.

Another use for First Defense 40-80 Disinfectant is to disinfect hard, non-porous surfaces that are washable, including tables, floors, walls, countertops, coils, and drain pans of air conditioning, refrigeration equipment, and heat pumps. It also can be used to disinfect hard, non-porous surfaces, such as metal, stainless steel, fiberglass (shower stalls and sinks), finished woodwork, vinyl or plastic upholstery, as well as hard non-porous inanimate environmental surfaces found in hospitals, food processing areas, homes, restaurants, hotels, health clubs, and spas.

The activity of Foster 40-80 HVAC & Wall Disinfectant has been evaluated in the presence of 5% serum by the AOAC Use-Dilution test and found, when used as directed, to be effective against a broad spectrum of gram negative and gram positive bacteria, as well as various viruses.

How to use: Foster 40-80 First Defense Disinfectant can be applied undiluted to walls, floors, countertops, the interior of HVAC ductwork and related air handling equipment or other hard, non-porous surfaces with a cloth, mop, sponge, or sprayer. Wipe or allow to air dry. Surfaces that are heavily soiled should be cleaned prior to product application. Can be applied with a mechanical spray device or by using a sponge, mop, or other suitable applicator. For sprayer applications, use a coarse spray with applicator nozzle approximately 15-20 cm from the surface to be treated. It requires a 10 minute dry time (needs to remain wet for 10 minutes), so if it is being applied outdoors, early morning or evening is best. Avoid breathing spray mist.
