Detect low levels of thermal inversions and air temperature at boom height as required for pesticide or herbicide applications with this SpotOn Inversion Tester # 35010.
The dictionary defines "inversion" as "a reversal of the normal decrease of air temperature with altitude." If a thermal inversion is present, the tester will display "Inversion Present" with intensity shown in degrees based on temperature measurements at 3.3' (1 m) and 10' (3 m) heights. If no thermal inversion is detected, the tester will display "No Inversion". The SpotOn Inversion Tester will accurately measure air temperature at boom height to ensure new label requirements for pesticide or herbicide applications are met. When temperature readings are stable, the Inversion Tester will detect it automatically.
Around the temperature sensor are radiation shields that provide protection from errors that may result from solar or ground thermal radiation.
The backlight on the LCD is bright enough to allow you to perform inversion testing for dawn, dusk, and nighttime operations. When you are finished, the Inversion Tester folds neatly for easy transport and storage.
