TW Liquid Strainers - Brass

These solid brass filters can be used under pressure or on the suction side of your pump. Much more durable that the standard plastic line strainers because of the metal construction.

They come in 2 thread sizes, 1/2" (13 mm) and 3/4" (19 mm) NPT. Female threads on the in and the out of the filter. Maximum flow rate of 10 gallons per minute (37.8 litres per minute) and a max pressure of 125 psi (8.6 bar). There is a removable plug on the bottom of the TW strainer to quickly flush out the filter, you could also install a drain cock on this port if you choose.

You have 3 options for the mesh of the filter:

1. 16 mesh
2. 50 mesh
3. 200 mesh

If you are using a TW brass line strainer with a diaphragm pump, Rittenhouse recommends using the 16 mesh because it is less likely to clog up and create a vacuum and damage the pump.

Switch to the TW liquid strainer if you are having trouble with damaging your existing plastic line strainer or filter.
