These professional quality rootfeeders are constructed of stainless steel.
- Constructed of stainless steel.
- Minimum 150 psi (see note below†).
- Trigger valve with lock.
- 3/4" female garden hose thread inlet.
- Adjustable foot bar.
†It's important to have enough pressure to push soil out of the way to allow the water to soak into the soil. Less than 150 psi will not allow enough water (with chemical or fertilizer) to get into the root zone and soil quick enough. You will likely need a diaphragm pump powered by a gas engine to accomplish this.
Worn rootfeeder tips for these models can be replaced by removing and replacing the roll pin. New roll pin supplied with replacement tip.
The root/flow model, the flow meter is incorporated in the handle of the rootfeeder (the meter cannot be reset).
- Flow meter incorporated into handle.
- Replacement flow meters available.
- Flow meter wetted parts are made from brass.
- Measures in liters.
In the USA, this rootfeeder and soil injector can be used to inject systemic insecticides into the soil around trees, shrubs and evergreens. Merit, sold under the name Bayer Advanced Tree & Shrub Insect Control, is recommended by the manufacturer as a control for active insects. Always follow state, federal, and label directions.
